Thanksgiving Community Meal

COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING DINNER

Can you believe it is almost Thanksgiving?! That means it is time for our annual project to provide meals to the retirement homes -Windermere and Lexington House. We will not be able to provide the fellowship which has been a blessing for all, but COVID-19 cannot stop us from providing a meal to these residents and letting them know that they are still high in our thoughts and prayers. Thank the Lord!
We will be putting together a couple of take-out containers per person and delivering them to the doors of the residents of these two retirement homes.
To accomplish this, we are asking for donations of checks or cash. Patsy and Deborah will then shop for all supplies and cook all items. We do ask for volunteers that would be willing to help put the meals together into the take-out containers and help deliver. We are thinking there is a need for at least six volunteers. One for each floor of the two complexes.
If you can donate funds, please send those to the church by Friday, November 20.
If you can help put the meals together and deliver, please contact Patsy Paxton (460-3591; patsypaxton@comcast.net) or Deborah Caylor (460-4060; debcaylor@gmail.com)

Samaritan Purse Shoebox

It is not too late to pick up and fill a shoebox for Samaritans Purse. We are sorry that the boxes are not wrapped (miss you Lib) but there are still plenty available. Please return your filled shoeboxes by Thursday, November 12th. Molly Kay Moore will be in the office that day, so you will be able to get in with your boxes.
We appreciate your faithfulness participating in our projects during these difficult times! Patsy Paxton
