Paper Towels & Toilet Paper for Lisa's House

WMU's mission project for January is cleaning supplies for Project Horizon Lisa’s House.
Paper towels and toilet paper are particularly needed but all cleaning supplies are welcome.

 

 

MLK Community Worship Service, Jan 19th

MLK Community Worship Service will be held Sunday, January 19, 4:30 pm First Baptist Church (103 North Main Street).
The Guest Preacher will be the Honorable Rev. Dr. Dwight C. Jones, Former Mayor, Richmond, VA and Senior Pastor, First Baptist Church, South Richmond, VA.
The Guest Choirs will be Resurrecting Praise Community Choir of Clifton Forge, VA and the Grace Episcopal Church Choir.
A reception will be held at the conclusion of the Service.  

 

 

Campus Kitchen Souper Bowl Fundraiser, Jan 26th

The 8th annual Campus Kitchen Souper Bowl is happening on Sunday, January 26 from 11 am till 2 pm at Evans Hall, W&L. 
This event brings together 20+ restaurants and caterers from around Rockbridge County to make soup to benefit the Campus Kitchen Backpack Program. 
A ticket to the event gets you unlimited soup tastings as well as drinks and desserts. 
All proceeds from donations and ticket sales will go to support the Campus Kitchen Backpack Program which sends packs of food to 771 children on free and reduced lunch in the county each week.

 Join us Saturday, Jan 11th at 9:00 am

for a time of fellowship preparing cakes for the Community Table

and  casseroles for those in our church and community.
